From a tented Ceremony and Cocktail Hour on the Lagoon Lawn to a lively Reception in the Harbourside Ballroom, every part of the celebration was designed to keep guests moving, engaged, and having fun.
Reagan and Ryan first met through mutual friends, connecting two separate friend groups through one of Reagan’s closest college friends and one of Ryan’s best friends from high school. Years later, Ryan proposed at the top of a mountain in Park City during a snowmobile ride surrounded by some of their closest friends. Their wedding day carried that same spirit of togetherness, with the couple placing their guests’ experience at the heart of the celebration. They wanted their wedding to feel energetic, seamless, and unmistakably like them, especially after attending and participating in so many weddings of their own. The torrential rain may have forced a change of plans, but it ultimately created one of Reagan’s favorite memories of the day. Walking into the Reception and seeing the backup plan come together in a way that exceeded anything she had envisioned was an especially meaningful moment. The Harbourside Ballroom was completely transformed with dramatic draping, specialty linens, woven-back Louis dining chairs, and a striking white-and-green checkered dance floor. Above the dance floor, a lush greenery installation intertwined with disco balls, creating a playful focal point that perfectly balanced the wedding’s garden-inspired elegance with its party-forward personality. A circular bar featuring vinyl inserts added another unexpected editorial detail, while custom napkins and linens from BBJ brought additional texture and personality to the design. The result was a Reception space that felt polished and sophisticated while still inviting everyone to let loose and enjoy the night.
Personal touches were woven throughout the celebration, making the wedding feel uniquely Reagan and Ryan from start to finish. Their golden retriever, Wilson, became an unofficial guest of honor through paintings displayed in the men’s and women’s restrooms and Wilson-inspired fatheads that made an appearance on the dance floor. Custom matches and koozies served as thoughtful favors, while a festive streamer send-off transitioned guests from the Reception into the After Party at Whiskey Tavern. The couple also made intentional time to step away from the celebration, including a vintage car photo session and a private trolley ride that gave them a chance to take in the significance of the day together. One of Reagan’s most treasured moments came during her father-daughter dance, when her dad surprised her with “I Loved Her First” before seamlessly transitioning into “Sweet Child of Mine.” Watching her dad dance and jump along to the song became a memory she knows she will never forget.
