Marina & Tobi’s wedding was a beautiful fusion of faith, family, and love—rooted in tradition and elevated by timeless elegance. The day began with a sacred Coptic Orthodox Ceremony at St. Mark Church, the bride’s lifelong place of worship, before guests made their way to the waterfront Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa in Fort Myers, Florida, for a joyful and vibrant celebration. With soft pinks, blush, and white florals paired with luxe gold accents, every element of their design felt warm, intentional, and full of heart.

The couple, who got engaged in Naples in front of both of their families, shared that planning their wedding was about more than just creating a pretty day—it was about crafting a meaningful experience. “It was important to us that every part of the wedding felt intentional and full of love,” Marina shared. “From the aesthetics and atmosphere to making sure every guest felt special, seen, and part of the joy.” The reception design reflected that vision perfectly, featuring romantic shantung blush linens, gold Chiavari chairs, and floral-filled centerpieces by Victoria Blooms that created a soft, glowing atmosphere inside the ballroom.

Guests enjoyed Cocktail Hour on the Marriott’s Everglades Veranda, where dolphins playfully swam by in the distance—a magical moment that set the tone for an evening full of warmth and connection. Custom signage from Laconic Events, layered textures from Over the Top Linens, and candlelit tabletops transformed the ballroom into a serene, elegant escape. As the newlyweds made their entrance, they were welcomed with the rhythmic energy of live drummers and a high-energy Zaffa, blending Marina’s Egyptian heritage with Tobi’s Belgian roots for a multicultural celebration to remember.

For Marina, having Lauren & the MDP Events team by her side made all the difference. “From the beginning, she always made it about us and how we felt, and that meant so much to have someone care so deeply about our happiness. Her and Erin were so genuinely kind and sweet - it felt like working with friends.” she shared. Their planning package allowed the couple to be fully present throughout the day. “It flowed beautifully,” Marina said. “We felt so loved, connected, and celebrated. We wouldn’t change a thing.”

Every detail felt layered with meaning, from the deeply spiritual Ceremony to the joyful, light-filled reception.
