Whimsical Luxe Carnival: Styled Wedding Inspiration at Palmetto Riverside B & B

This styled shoot at Palmetto Riverside Bed & Breakfast in pretty Palmetto, Florida, brings whimsical, luxe carnival wedding inspiration to life. Our foundational inspiration for this shoot was cotton candy! The fluffy texture and pretty pastel colors of traditional carnival-style cotton candy came to life in our minds as an outside-of-the-box wedding theme that we just had to make a reality. So often couples choose traditional colors, styles, and themes that have been done over and over again, and we wanted to bring something fresh and exciting to the table—to inspire couples to incorporate fun, whimsy, and personality into their wedding day!

The theme of this shoot was Luxe Cotton Candy Carnival because we also wanted to emphasize that fun and whimsical can be glamorous! Often, couples feel they have to choose between fun and fancy, but that is not the case, and we wanted to use this shoot to showcase that.

Drawing on the inspiration of cotton candy as well as the colors of macarons, the color palette we selected was pastel-focused, of course, with lilac, light orange, light greens, and shades of pink and blush. Colorful, light, sweet, luxurious, and whimsical were the vibes, and each element that went into the shoot reflected that. We also wanted to place a heavy emphasis on textures to pull the cotton candy and whimsical essence through the setups and attire. The key texture and color elements came from the florals. Save the Date Florida created a fabulous bouquet, a lush table arrangement, and gorgeous ceremony pedestals. The gold frame of the pedestals and the gold compote vessel for the centerpiece beautifully communicated the luxury element, while the lush pastel florals were the complete vision of texture and whimsy that we had imagined.

Details are truly everything when it comes to a cohesive theme, and each element of this shoot communicated the theme flawlessly. Both dresses from the Lillie Mae Collection captured the whimsical cotton candy vibe we were picturing, and the colors were incredible. Paired with the stunning and unique jewelry pieces from Arnold Jewelers, our gorgeous model looked amazing. The colors of the jewels were the perfect touch for this non-traditional wedding theme. And of course, no look is complete without a dream glam squad. With makeup by Megan Panwar and hair by Tiffany Stylez, we achieved an ultra-glamorous look that looked incredible with the dresses! Hot Tip: If a non-traditional, whimsical dress is your dream but you still have a big white gown vision for your trip down the aisle, go for a reception or after-party dress with some color or whimsical essence!

There is no successful Luxe Cotton Candy Carnival styled shoot without a cotton candy cart, so of course we worked with Posey Exchange. They also brought the shimmer wall, which really elevated the theme to the next level! The tablescape was another next-level element—a beautiful collaboration with chairs from Posey Exchange and tabletop rentals from Set and Styled. Menu cards from Korynne + Company were the perfect finishing touch to complete the setup and tie all the colors together. Hot Tip: Want to make your wedding feel perfectly themed and luxurious? Work with a rental company to get upgraded tabletop rentals! With seemingly endless possibilities, a rental company can help bring your tablescape dreams to life. We also highly recommend renting a bar! Standard banquet tables with white linens will get the job done, but a rented bar front helps bring everything together. Vendors like Wandering Whale have an inventory of unique and beautiful bars to enhance your wedding vibes. Add in a signature cocktail and your guests will be in for an amazing experience!

We were so excited to bring this shoot to life at Palmetto Riverside Bed & Breakfast! The grounds are beautiful, and the picturesque house with gorgeous views provided the most exquisite backdrop for the shoot.
