Moody, Modern & Whimsical Fall Inspired Styled Shoot at La Hacienda

Our inspiration from this shoot came from some photos we saw on Pinterest, that were high contrast with a modern essence, and with peach and eggplant for the foundational colors. Whimsical vibes are our absolute favorite at MDP Events, so we really wanted to create a shoot that brought together whimsical and modern elements, and also had a moody, yet romantic vibe. We also wanted to showcase high contrast fall tones, without going for the typical warm fall colors and jewel tones that everyone expects. For this reason, we chose eggplant, pink, peach, light orange, white, and muted natural tones for our color scheme.  And ultimately, we wanted it to feel dreamy and luxurious, so we made sure to include lots of specialty rentals and lush florals!

We were so excited to have the opportunity to bring this shoot to life at La Hacienda at Snow Hill! We loved the rolling hills and the blank slate space. The stone and turf flooring created the perfect high-end reception space, in the middle of the peaceful, open surroundings. It was so refreshing to showcase a venue that was completely different from the venues in Sarasota, Tampa and St. Petersburg. We always love the opportunity to explore new areas and expose our clients to new venues!

For the flatlay, we were absolutely obsessed with the gorgeous pieces from Whitehurst Jewelry - each one expertly crafted with stunning details. And the invitation suite from Christina Design Studio was absolute perfection!

The ceremony setup was so pretty and we loved the high contrast elements! The crisp white stage and gorgeous white and tan chairs from Oak and Ash were the perfect foundational pieces. And then the beautiful aisle and stage arrangements, as well as the dreamy arch, all from Save the Date Florida, brought the whimsical garden essence! The tones represented throughout the florals for the shoot were exactly what we had envisioned! The pastel peaches, vibrant oranges, and deep purples and maroons all came together to create a colorful, yet moody vibe. And the textures of the florals, especially the hanging pieces, were the perfect contrast with the smooth, clean, white stage and chairs. And of course, we also had to include a sweet pup from Fairytail Petcare in our ceremony set up! We love how effortless they make it for our clients to include their pets in their wedding day, and their team of handlers are fabulous!

And then of course, there was the tablescape. This was probably our favorite set up to design and style. Starting with the foundational pieces, we had beautiful white tables from Table for Ten, as well as black bentwood chairs. We loved the black and white contrast, and continued that into the place settings with black flatware, black dinner plates, and white bread and butter plates, all from Oak and Ash. Also from Oak and Ash were the fun chargers that added texture and depth to the table, and the glassware which brought the ultra modern feel. The place cards from Laconic Events brought the perfect pop of color to the place settings, and the overall design added to the collection of textures and shapes. And the modern table number also from Laconic Events perfectly complemented the black tableware. The napkins from Nuage brought in the prettiest shade of pale purple and popped off of the black dinner plates. And the taper candles, bud vases and compote arrangement from Save the Date Florida tied everything together beautifully and brought amazing color and texture to the table!

The bar from Oak and Ash was, by far, one of our favorite set ups. It was an absolute show stopper, and the perfect high contrast piece to complete the reception space. The vibrant signature drinks sign from Laconic Events, along with a gorgeous compote arrangement from Save the Date Florida looked incredible on top of the radiant white bar. The addition of the ground arrangements really brought out the stark contrast of the whimsical textures against the sleek, modern bar. We also loved the pretty cake from Cakes by Ron!

Our beautiful models, Tara and Russell, were so sweet and had amazing chemistry. They brought the perfect essence and vibes to the shoot and we could not have been more excited to work with such a wonderful couple. Tara’s hair and makeup were absolutely fabulous and we loved getting to have her showcase her own work for the shoot! We had worked with Bridal Beauty by Tara before, so we knew that she was going to nail it! The dress and veil from The White Closet Bridal were absolutely stunning, and we were obsessed with the detachable bows that came with the dress straps! And the suit from Sacino’s brought an effortless, clean, and timeless essence to the shoot.

The incredibly talented Arianna J Photography truly captured each gorgeous detail to perfection! It was such a pleasure to work with such an amazing vendor team, and to see everyone bring their own artistic flair to the shoot. It was also a team collaboration on the MDP Events side, and it was so fun to see our collective vision come to life!
